SCS Areas: Research

Area of the SCS devoted to fostering scientific research in the field of strength and conditioning. Through its sport sciences and clinical multi-disciplinary team of professionals, the SCS aims to examine strength training and conditioning from a multifaceted perspective, including all physiological, biomechanical, psychological and epidemiological aspects. The Area of Research aims to contribute to the publication of dedicated periodicals and scientific journals, to disseminate state-of-the-art research findings to its members and the wider scientific community.

SCS Areas: Education

Area of the SCS responsible for promoting education in the field of strength and conditioning. Through the organization of educational and internationally recognised certification courses and seminars, the Area of Education aims to prepare a new and educated generation of S&C Coaches that understand the peculiarities of the different sports and that can effectively develop daily practices that maximize athletes’ performances while also mitigating the risk of injury and improving health and well-being.

Area of the SCS centred on the development of institutional partnerships with various public and private health institutions and sport clubs of different countries. The SCS collaborates with, supports the work of, and promotes existing national strength and conditioning associations and organisations. The Area of Networking favours contacts across its members to establish joint educational standards and promote collaborative research efforts in the field of strength and conditioning.
